This little outfit was a gift from my friend, Amy. She brought it to the hospital the day after Shelby was born. This is the front of the outfit. It looks like she was wrapped up and left under the tree for us!

Christmas was a little uneventful because all she can do right now is lay down next to her presents and stare at them. She is starting to reach out and grab a little. I sat her up in my lap to play with some things. She especially loved the cool Baby Einstein toy her Aunt Diane and Uncle Pete gave her! It teaches her to say Good Morning and Good Night in 3 languages. It's very cool and has a smiley face that lights up with the words, sounds, and song.

Well, WE won't forget her first Christmas. At least I won't. She scratched her face so I decided to try out our new nail clippers, complete with a magnifying glass. So while Jon was feeding her, I proceeded to clip a nail. Well, it didn't work too well and Mommy clipped off the tip of her tiny finger! It wasn't too bad but it bled like crazy. Both Shelby and I were crying. I felt so bad. We finally stopped the bleeding and she is none the wiser now. I think I was more traumatized than she was! I won't ever forget what I did. I will be using a nail file for a long time now. The nail clippers have been banned from her room.
